Agent of the Uncanny Character Set
About
Agent of the Uncanny is a loose flat-brush titling font that is relatively formal in its construction. It forms part of a series inspired by Hughes’ researches into hand-drawn headline type for the Custom Lettering of the 60s and 70s book. Upper and lower case provide alternate versions that can be freely mixed. It has been widely used by DC Comics’ art director Steve Cook on their Jack Kirby reprints, where it resembles 1960s comic book lettering styles.
